Another Legal and Cheap Image Resource

We haven’t had a Monday Resource post in quite a while!  Sorry about that!  I need to get busy, don’t I?

Copyright signTo get us back on track, here’s another option you can turn to when you need great and affordable images for your blog, website, or print projects.  Check out out Fotolia.  It will remind you of our old friend iStock.  Tons of images.  Great search capabilities.  And it’s pretty cheap.

Remember, legal use of images matters!  Ripping off artists, especially in the name of “church” just plain sucks, particularly when it’s pretty easy and very affordable to do the right thing!

Great reminder to avoid falling into the trap of taking the easy way out and reaching for the copy/paste/steal option...

For our church media, I started with iStockPhoto.com and then started to find other sites that have similiar business models which make images *AND* videos, loops, etc all affordable - as low as $1 each. Now, I go back and forth between half a dozen sites - SOME WEBSITES are even completely free (and legal).

Once you start to utilize these legal yet affordable sites, you'll begin to get a handle of which type of content is generally associated with which stock photo sites.
