Got an E-mail late yesterday from Tracy at Mozy.com. Mozy is a great online backup service that has been a real help and saved us huge dollars at First Church. I recommend their personal service to everyone. At $5.00 per month there's simply no excuse not to take advantage of real-time, off-site, online backup.
Well, it seems that Mozy has figured out just what a bargain they've been offering. According the toe E-mail, they are splitting out their server and desktop products. They are adding new features for servers, but they are more than TRIPLING the license price for the server product, and the per gig storage price goes up too!
Thankfully, they are grandfathering in existing users. You can get additional server licenses before March 1 at the current rate, and your per gig storage rate will stay at $.50 per. It will be interesting to see what happens to their sales with the new pricing. The old structure might have been too low. I know for me it was a no-brainer decision. At the new rates, I'd think about it more.
P.S. I wrote this post using Windows Live Writer. I think I'm really going to like this new tool!

I'm a mozy user and I didn't see any email. Would you forward to me? Ron ruv865@yahoo.com
I didn’t keep it, David.
If you are not a corporate account customer, it won’t apply to you. If you are, I would give Mozy a call at (877) 669-9776. Tracy Magelby is our contact and she has been very helpful.
Thanks for dropping a line!
